Who we are

PurProwler is an 18+ location-based social discovery and messaging service operated by PurProwler. Contact: info@purprowler.com.

Information we collect

  • Account data such as email address, generated username, 18+ attestation status, legal acceptance timestamps, and premium status.
  • Profile data such as username, emoji, bio, interests, profile images, avatar crops, and last-seen timestamps.
  • Location data you provide through browser geolocation so we can show nearby users and evaluate region access.
  • Nearby Wall map positions, titles, details, event metadata, check-ins, and creator/admin/moderator deletion state.
  • Message data including text, attachments, replies, read state, reactions, moderation state, and deletion/hide state.
  • Safety data such as blocks and reports.
  • Optional analytics preference and Vercel Analytics events if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Optional Web Push subscription endpoints and notification preferences if you enable message notifications.
  • Photo and video uploads, including the video file, generated thumbnail/poster, duration, processing and moderation status, and (for video) the hosting provider's asset identifier.
  • Moderation and report data such as reports you file or receive, auto-flags, moderator actions, and preserved evidence for reported or removed content.

How we use information

We use information to operate authentication, nearby discovery, profiles, messaging, safety controls, age-gate enforcement, Nearby Walls, PWA installation support, optional analytics, and optional transactional message notifications. Group messages and Nearby Wall posts may receive message safety scanning to identify blocked contact requests, doxxing, abusive language, minor-safety concerns, threats, and commercial sex solicitation before they are posted.

Sharing and vendors

Current vendors include Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and realtime features; Bunny.net for video upload, transcoding, hosting, and content delivery; and Vercel for hosting and optional analytics; plus browser push services operated by the user's browser/platform when notifications are enabled. Ad partners are not integrated in this phase. The current text moderation layer uses in-app rules and a local profanity-matching library; there is no external moderation API for that scanning in this phase.

Cookies, analytics, and notifications

Essential cookies are required for login and security. Analytics is optional and controlled by the in-app privacy banner. Push notifications require an explicit browser permission prompt and can be disabled from the profile/settings surface. Message previews are off by default.

Retention

Account, profile, message, Nearby Wall, and media records remain until deleted through product tools, account deletion, or a moderation/retention workflow. Reported, removed, or auto-hidden content and the associated moderation records may be retained as needed for safety and legal compliance; content connected to a child-safety report is preserved and reported as required by law and may be held under a legal-preservation obligation regardless of deletion requests. Event metadata can expire independently after the event window.

Your choices

You may update profile information, decline analytics, disable notifications, request deletion or correction, and contact us about access/export requests at the email above.
